Mental Gymnasium: What is it?
Mental Gymnasium is intended to be a place to train your mind, similar to training at a physical gym for your body. People are becoming increasingly aware of the benefits of mental health, but most mental health professionals are only focused towards getting people who are struggling out of a rough patch and back to their baseline self.
They are not always prepared to help people who are already at baseline achieve a higher level of performance. A Mental Performance Expert at Mental Gymnasium can help you overcome plateaus, improve your mental game, work better with teammates, and develop habits that serve as a foundation for improvement.
The Hero’s Journey
Mental Gymnasium is inspired by the Greek Mythology figure, Chiron, known as the teacher of many heroes. We all have a Hero’s Journey in life, and through the trials and tribulations, it’s helpful to have someone you can call on for help when needed.
Mental Gymnasium can help guide you toward the Reward stage of the Hero’s Journey, and help you reflect on what worked and what could be improved as you reach the Return Home portion of your journey.

The Face Behind Mental Gymnasium
Eldar Bulyga, a first generation Ukrainian immigrant, embarked on his own Hero’s Journey with Sports Psychology and Performance in his early college days as he was steeped in the Rocket League esports scene.
During his decade of time as both a player and a coach, he realized the common issues he and others faced often related to mental capabilities. This led to pursuing his master’s in Sports Psychology. After his tenure in esports, Eldar worked with the U.S. Army teaching mental resilience.
Mental Gymnasium’s Mission
Through Eldar’s education combined with experience in high performance roles helping esports athletes and soldiers improve their mental, he developed an understanding of performance and the way your mental game impacts it.
“Throughout life, it has always been my goal to lift up those around me to higher levels of performance. This desire led me to create Mental Gymnasium, where I hope to help people from all walks of life improve their mental performance and resilience. Get better at getting better.“
